September
Yay! We made it through September!!!! Life is so crazy, all those dots represent the extracurricular activities that we optimistically signed up for this fall. (What were we thinking???) We pretty must stayed within the perimeters of Logan to Salt Lake, no out of town tournaments yet. I actually color coded the kids to keep it all straight, ya know since 3 have soccer. I still can't believe we made it to all those things, so grateful for carpools and neighbors and..... a piano teacher across the street. We are so blessed! but there were days I wished we were stranded on a deserted island like Gilligan.

Hallelujah 2012
I did it!!!! I finally figured out how to upload my pictures. (I'm not sure how, I just deleted a few programs and it works now. Yay) So here is the rest of 2012:
Carter played football for the first time and his team went undefeated, but because we went to St. George for fall break they had to forfeit the championship game. We weren't the only ones out of town that week!

Ugh
Wow I am so far behind, which pretty much sums up my journaling abilities. I don't know why this is so hard for me. (ok maybe the fact that I can't pull up any of the 2012 pictures in blogger has something to do with it, and google is constantly changing things on me) but lets be real, I have always struggled when it comes to journaling. I am so inspired by others who seem to have a real knack for it, so I will always keep trying. And oh well there are just going to be times in my life that don't get documented. Life is so busy and crazy right now I feel like if I stayed awake 24/7 and went 90 mph I still would only get half done!

Summer 2012
If I'd only known this was going to be our last summer......yes, I know that sounds dramatic but our life changed dramatically last week when they announced Year Round School for next year. I am sick about it! We are a SUMMER family! Our summers are filled with traditions that mean so much, I can't imagine how we are going to do without it.
First off, the traditional Red Robin mile high mud pie that we have on the last day of school, it is the best day of the year, now only the Jr. high kids will have that day. I feel like our family is being split in half. Can I just say how sad I am!!!!!
Maybe I'll let Carter sleep out in the tent even if there is school in the morning, ha I'll show them:)
We have a really big family reunion on the 24th of July. It's not only Pioneer day, but also my grandfather's, my brother's and my niece's birthdays. Now we are going to have to start school on the 25th. That is just so wrong!!!!!!!!
And last, my family has a cabin at Bear Lake and we try to spend as much of the summer there as we can. It's our home away from home and has been for as long as I can remember. Now we are going to be down to three weeks of summer, I hope we get there at all. Oh I've considered Charter schools, home schooling, and even moving. The tricky part is my kids are in the Spanish immersion program and it's a big privilege to be in it. We actually signed a contract promising that we wouldn't bail if we were to go to year around tracks. (I never thought it would happen with all those studies saying it is not cost effective)
This one will only have one more year of Elemtary school so she won't ever lose her whole summer.
We play so hard then we crash!
This one has two years before she starts
But this one still has four more years, I'm hoping they will work it out by then. I personally would rather drive a longer distance to get to school than to go year round. I'm sad that we don't have a say in the matter, we get what we get and try not to throw a fit.
